Show : Last Night on Earth

Show Date: Friday, April 8th, 2016

Welcome to Red Mountain Pass, a small rural community that's suddenly been overtaken by a brief, unexpected celebrity: a cult-like figure known only as The Facilitator is making claims that the world will end on December 21st, 2012, and only the residents in Red Mountain will be spared. Last Night On Earth is a solo sketch comedy about the suddenly-famous little town, the prophesy that made it so and the simple townspeople who don't know what to believe.

Bio: Vance Gillis is a writer, director, actor and improvisor originally from Halifax. His recent credits include the storytelling solo shows Everything Is Normal (2014 SOlOS Festival, 2015 St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival) and Good For You and the half-scripted series 50/50. He has performed at Sketch Republic, Montreal Sketchfest and improv festivals in Montreal, Toronto and Halifax. Last Night On Earth is his first solo sketch show. He will next be seen at the 2016 St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival this June with The Kicker, an ensemble piece focusing on the 1970s comedy scene.
